Racket Man

Join us for a night with Clevland synth-pop band Racket Man.

$5, at door (cash only) | 21+

Crafting upbeat and cruisy arrangements contrasted by darker lyrical themes, Racket Man pulls from influences like Prefab Sprout, Toro y Moi, and Big Star to create their own brand of Indie Pop. Formed during 2017, the band released their debut self-titled EP that December. Since their formation, the band has worked hard to blend influences together into a single project with "Recreational Magic" being the groups most cohesive work yet. Embracing a diligent DIY mentality, the band stays steadfast in their quest to further their ambitions. Racket Man is Tyler Elwing (Synth, Vox), Chris Seaman (Bass), Vince Silvestro (Drums) and Tommy Marx (Guitar, Vox).

In the Press:

“This Ohio [band] creates blissed out sonic soundscapes drenched in gloriously golden reverberations all manifested through catchy melodies, ambient hued stylings and addictive hook-laden guitar structures.” - Primal Music Blog - Dublin, Ireland

“Racket Man craft a dreamy vein of rock fit for serenely watching the clouds pass by…” - Mike Mineo of Obscure Sound - New York

“When you name your band Racket Man, you basically have two choices: You can be a Spandex-clad hair-metal outfit, or you can be a soft-rocking throwback to the ’70s that makes quirky, endearing videos based around rollerblading. Lucky for all concerned...these Cleveland kooks are in the latter category...” - Darryl Sterdan - Winnipeg, Manitoba

“Racket Man is a band from Cleveland that, in addition to having one of the best [album] covers in history, shows off [their] indie style of sharp guitars and hypnotic voices that Mac Demarco bequeathed to us...” - Martin Guazzaroni of Rocktails - Buenos Aires, Argentina
